Our next trip will be Fiji this November for two weeks. We will be surveying two major areas and will need volunteers. We leave Thanksgiving Night and fly to Viti Levu and will be in the Beqa Lagoon area for a week and then on to the North Shore of Viti Levu for the second week. This is a survey trip to access the resources and needs in these two regions. November 22nd 2012 to the 8th of December 2012.
We are back with thousands of pictures and some great stories as always happens with a group of great and dedicated Divers. Below are pictures taken in Beqa Lagoon and Wananavu Vite Levu.
Beqa has put forth an effort to establish a rudimentary mooring system that isn't bad, just inconsistent and does show some sings of potential reef damage.
Wananavu is in the development stage, but has the greatest potential for Coral damage as all the moorings that exist are direct tie ins to the reefs themselves.....
